About Jim Lauderdale

Jim Lauderdale is an American country, bluegrass, and Americana singer-songwriter. He was born on April 11, 1957, in Troutman, North Carolina. Lauderdale has built a career as a prolific songwriter, having written songs for various country music artists, including George Strait, Blake Shelton, Patty Loveless, and the Dixie Chicks.

As a solo artist, Jim Lauderdale has released 34 studio albums since his debut in 1986 with Point of No Return. His music blends traditional country sounds with elements of bluegrass, rock, and soul. Lauderdale’s work has been recognized with multiple awards and nominations, including Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame 2022 and two Grammy Awards for Best Bluegrass Album.

In addition to his own music, Lauderdale has collaborated with several notable artists, such as Ralph Stanley, Buddy Miller, and Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter. He is known for his distinctive vocals and songwriting style, and his ability to bridge different genres within the realm of Americana music.

Jim Lauderdale continues to be an active musician touring both nationally and internationally, recording albums, appearing as a guest of The Grand Ole Opry, and co hosting The Buddy & Jim Show on SiriusXM’s Outlaw Country. He remains highly regarded within the country and Americana music communities.

About Sunny Sweeney

Sunny Sweeney is an American country music singer and songwriter. She was born on December 7, 1976, in Houston, Texas. Sweeney gained prominence in the country music scene with her debut album, Heartbreaker’s Hall of Fame, released in 2006.

Known for her traditional country sound, Sweeney’s music often explores themes of heartbreak, resilience, and personal experiences. Her powerful and emotive vocals have earned her praise from both critics and fans alike. Some of her well-known songs include From A Table Away, Bad Girl Phase, and Drink Myself Single. She enjoys collaborating with musicians, such as Jim Lauderdale, to create songs which are enduring.

Throughout her career, Sunny has released four albums, including  Concrete (2011), Trophy (2017) and her latest release, Married Alone (2022). She has also toured extensively, performing at various country music festivals and venues across the United States. Demand for her music has also taken her tour to 20 countries around the world.

Sunny’s music has garnered critical acclaim and has been recognized with nominations and awards. She has been nominated for multiple Country Music Association (CMA) and Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards.

Sunny Sweeney continues to be an active country music artist, touring, writing and performing music that resonates with her fans around the world. She hosts her morning show, Sunny Side Up, on SiriusXM’s Willie’s Roadhouse.
